Basketball Recap: Kamiya Moore Key Part of a Team Effort in Wolverines Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chamblee, Miller Grove was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the South Atlanta Hornets by a score of 48-40. While the Wolverines didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Miller Grove's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kamiya Moore, who posted ten points and six steals. That's the most steals Moore has posted since back in November of 2023. Another player making a difference was Arieyona Christion, who had six points in addition to ten boards and three steals.

Miller Grove's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. As for South Atlanta, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Miller Grove will take on Stone Mountain in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. South Atlanta and Coahulla Creek will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
