Basketball Recap: Lighthouse Christian Piles Up the Points Against Sarcoxie

Lighthouse Christian entered their tilt with Sarcoxie on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They claimed a resounding 77-38 victory over the Sarcoxie Bears. Given the Chargers' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Bears are ranked 473rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lighthouse Christian had a senior duo take command as Judah Louderback went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals and Elijah Rahn went 7 of 10 on his way to 23 points and three steals. The game was Rahn's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jojo Rahn, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Lighthouse Christian has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. As for Sarcoxie, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

When Lighthouse Christian and Sarcoxie next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Lighthouse Christian will try to stop McAuley Catholic's seven-game winning streak when the meet at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lighthouse Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.5 points per game this season. Similarly, Sarcoxie will square off against Pierce City and their three-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
