Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shepherd). Everything went their way against the Arp Tigers on Friday as the Shepherd Pirates made off with an 8-1 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Pirates have posted since February 29, 2024.

Shepherd is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season. Arp is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Shepherd will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Sterling at 3:00 p.m. on March 6th. As for Arp, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Kirbyville on the 21st.
