Softball Recap: Fairfield Takes a Loss

Fairfield was the 18-10 winner over Concord when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Falcons fell just short of the Minutemen by a score of 11-10 on Thursday.

Madison Jones was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 3-for-5. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Lilly Yoder also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Fairfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Concord, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Fairfield and Concord will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Falcons see the field they'll take on Wawasee at 5:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Concord, their break will end when they face Glenn at 5:30 p.m. on the 15th.
