Alliance posted their closest victory since April 14th on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Washington Tigers 4-3. The Aviators haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Lincoln Reese made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Reese was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Reese wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Charles Ekey, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Ekey is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Alliance's record now sits at 15-6. As for Washington, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-10.

Coming up, Alliance will head out on the road to square off against Lake Center Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tiger's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Aviators' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Washington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hoover at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
