Volleyball Recap: Madelyn Hamby's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Quincy over Quincy Notre Dame

Quincy lost against Quincy Notre Dame back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 2-1. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Quincy sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 14-25, 15-9.

Quincy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Madelyn Hamby, who had 11 assists.

Quincy's defeat dropped their record down to 24-5. As for Quincy Notre Dame, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.

Quincy has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Sacred Heart-Griffin on the 13th. As for Quincy Notre Dame, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Pittsfield on the 14th.
