Volleyball Recap: Sacred Heart Academy Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Sacred Heart Academy had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Morley Stanwood Mohawks. This was payback for Sacred Heart Academy, who suffered a 2-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Sacred Heart Academy got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 20-25, 25-15, 17-25, 15-13.

Sacred Heart Academy's win bumped their record up to 27-2. As for Morley Stanwood, they moved to 21-11 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Sacred Heart Academy and Morley Stanwood should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. Sacred Heart Academy will challenge Orchard View at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (200 vs. 501). Meanwhile, Morley Stanwood (ranked 152nd) will meet Tri County Area (ranked 455th) at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
