Soccer Recap: Ponaganset Comes Up Short

Ponaganset was the 5-0 winner over Woonsocket when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Chieftains fell 4-2 to the Villa Novans on Friday.

Ponaganset's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9-2. As for Woonsocket, they moved to 2-14 with that victory, which also ended their four-match losing streak.

Woonsocket has already played their next matchup, a 4-0 loss against North Providence on the 10th. Hopefully Ponaganset paid attention to the Villa Novans' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Villa Novans at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
