Basketball Preview: Scotlandville Hornets vs. Zachary Broncos

Scotlandville is 9-1 against the Broncos since December of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The two teams will face off at 5:00 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Even though Central scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, Scotlandville still came out on top. Scotlandville took their match against the Wildcats 63-56.

Scotlandville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jamal Drewery, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Drewery hasn't dropped below 15 points for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Aaron Marshall, who scored 19 points.

Meanwhile, even though Southside scored an imposing 58 points on Saturday, Zachary still came out on top. Zachary walked away with a 69-58 win over the Sharks. 69 seems to be a good number for Zachary as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Scotlandville has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season. As for Zachary, they pushed their record up to 22-7 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home.

Scotlandville beat the Broncos 73-66 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Will Scotlandville repeat their success, or do the Broncos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
