Baseball Game Preview: Argonaut Mustangs vs. Liberty Ranch Hawks

The Argonaut Mustangs will square off against the Liberty Ranch Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Argonaut played in-conference for the first time on Monday and they got just the result they were looking for. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Union Mine 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted since February 11th.

Jacob Teravskis was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Sam Jones was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base.

Meanwhile, Liberty Ranch waltzed into their match on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the Diamondbacks 9-1. Considering the Hawks have won four contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Liberty Ranch pushed their record up to 8-4-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Argonaut, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Argonaut came out on top in a nail-biter against Liberty Ranch in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, sneaking past 2-1. Does Argonaut have another victory up their sleeve, or will Liberty Ranch turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
