After a string of eight wins, Odyssey Institute's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 3-1 to the Seton Catholic Sentinels. The Minotaur were not able to make up for their defeat to the Sentinels from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-10, 21-25, 25-13, 25-18.

Isabella Mitchell paced Odyssey Institute's offense, picking up 12 kills. Mitchell got some help from Allyson Sauls and her 29 assists. Mitchell also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lulu Gracia, each putting up three.

Leading Seton Catholic to victory were Hannah Ostrowski and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Steinkamp. Ostrowski had 20 assists and seven digs, while (Lizzie) Steinkamp hit 58.3% for 23 kills and 24 digs, three aces, and two blocks. (Lizzie) Steinkamp is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 24 games she's played dating back to last season.

Odyssey Institute's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Seton Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Odyssey Institute has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against ALA - West Foothills on the 22nd. As for Seton Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Valley Christian on the 21st.
