Basketball Game Preview: Pueblo Central Wildcats vs. Rampart Rams

Having just played yesterday, the Pueblo Central Wildcats will get right back to it and host the Rampart Rams at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Pueblo Central and 11 for Rampart.

On Friday, Pueblo Central was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 34-29 to Pueblo County.

The losing side was boosted by Alliana Martinez, who posted ten points.

Meanwhile, Rampart played a tough match on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Fountain-Fort Carson, falling 62-36. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-15.

Pueblo Central will have to keep a close watch on Arabelle Madril and Claire Colosimo, a pair of players who had a big impact on Rampart's prior game. Madril shot 4-for-7 from long range and dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds, while Colosimo went 5-for-8 to rack up 11 points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Colosimo a new career-high in field goal percentage (63%).

Pueblo Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Rampart, their loss dropped their record down to 3-16.
