Soccer Game Preview: Botkins vs. Summit Country Day + How To Watch

The Botkins Trojans will face off against the Summit Country Day Silver Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Botkins sitting on four straight wins and Summit Country Day on three.

If Summit Country Day heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Botkins took over last week. The Trojans skirted past Cincinnati Christian 2-1. That's two games straight that Botkins have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Summit Country Day had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They never let the Arrows get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Summit Country Day's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Their offense was hitting Preble Shawnee from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Beckett Brinkman led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Summit Country Day's win bumped their record up to 8-6-6. As for Botkins, their victory bumped their record up to 17-2-2.

Botkins suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Summit Country Day when the teams last played back in September of 2020. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
