Recap: Wamogo Regional Warriors vs. Thomaston Bears
Even though the Thomaston Bears scored an imposing 61 points on Thursday, the Wamogo Regional Warriors still came out on top. Wamogo Regional had just enough and edged Thomaston out 64-61. The win made it back-to-back wins for Wamogo Regional.
Wamogo Regional's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anthony Turtoro, who scored 21 points along with five assists. Those five assists set a new season-high mark for him. Josh Delello was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Wamogo Regional has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Thomaston, they bumped their record down to 3-7 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wamogo Regional will face off against Terryville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Thomaston, they will head out on the road to face off against Wamogo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
