Baseball Recap: Curtis' Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

It was a good run, but Curtis unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Peninsula Seahawks by a score of 7-6. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Seahawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Curtis' loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Peninsula, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Curtis and Peninsula should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. The Vikings (ranked 40th) will meet Yelm (ranked 126th) on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Peninsula will take on Central Kitsap at 4:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (30 vs. 165).
