Basketball Recap: LaFayette Takes a Loss

LaFayette and Lanett squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but LaFayette had to settle for second. They were dealt a 59-20 defeat at the hands of the Lanett Panthers. The Bulldogs' loss continues a trend for the team, making it eight in a row.

MaKiah White continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lanett, dropping a double-double on ten points and 21 rebounds. White is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted four or more in the last four games she's played. Makayla Davis was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 14 boards.

LaFayette's defeat dropped their record down to 1-23. As for Lanett, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-6.

LaFayette does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lanett, they will square off against Reeltown at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
