Football Recap: Slidell Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Slidell lost against Salmen back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The matchup between the Tigers and the Spartans didn't end well, with the Tigers falling 35-21. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Slidell lost, don't look at Jakwan Jones. Despite the final result, he rushed for 221 yards and two TDs while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Jones has become a key player for the Tigers: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise.

Slidell's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Salmen, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Slidell will venture away from home to face off against Chalmette at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Owls' defense has only allowed 11.2 points per game this season, so the Tigers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Salmen, they will head out to challenge Hammond at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
