Naselle came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Wahkiakum, but Jayden Stoddard wouldn't allow it. The Mules took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 54-10 victory over the Comets with plenty of help from Stoddard, who rushed for 156 yards and three scores on only 11 carries, and also threw for 256 yards and four TDs while completing 77.8% of his passes. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making nine total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Wahkiakum has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 55.0 points this season. As for Naselle, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Wahkiakum will square off against Waterville/Mansfield at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Naselle, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Winlock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
