Soccer Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Jefferson was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Harlem on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The J-Hawks came up short against the Boylan Catholic Titans on Thursday, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, Jefferson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 100th, while Boylan Catholic are ranked ninth).

Jefferson's goal came courtesy of Eduardo Mendoza, who's now up to eight this season.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Boylan Catholic, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2-1.

Looking ahead, Jefferson will head out on the road to face off against Guilford at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Boylan Catholic, they will face off against Plainfield Central at 12:15 p.m. on Sunday.
