Soccer Game Preview: Fife vs. Orting

The Fife Trojans are taking a road trip to face off against the Orting Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Fife has three straight wins, Orting has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Fife barely beat Clover Park the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Fife never let Clover Park get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Tuesday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Fife were the better team in the second half.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Cardinals on Tuesday. Orting lost 5-1 to Franklin Pierce. That's two games in a row now that Orting has lost by exactly four goals.

Fife's win bumped their record up to 3-1-1. As for Orting, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Fife took their victory against Orting when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fife since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
