Volleyball Game Preview: Lincoln Mustangs vs. Galileo Lions

The Lincoln Mustangs will take on the Galileo Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Galileo will be up against a hot Lincoln squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Mustangs put the hurt on San Mateo with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday.

While Lincoln might've won, it sure wasn't easy: San Mateo scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23, 25-20.

Galileo not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 5th (when they won 3-0). They blew past Mission 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

The 3-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 25-22.

Galileo's victory bumped their record up to 12-14. As for Lincoln, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 30-5.

Lincoln took their victory against Galileo in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
