Palisade fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Monarch on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Monarch Coyotes 68-63. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (59), the Bulldogs still had to take the loss.
Palisade's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Carter Hayward, who scored 18 points in addition to five rebounds and two steals, and Hunter Howard, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of LJ Ballenger, who earned ten points.
