Soccer Game Preview: Mountain View vs. Uintah

The Mountain View Bruins will venture away from home to take on the Uintah Utes at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Monday, Mountain View didn't have quite enough to beat Provo and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Uintah's offense. They lost 4-0 to Maeser Prep Academy on Friday. While losing is never fun, Uintah can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 70th, while Maeser Prep Academy are ranked eighth).

Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Uintah, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Everything went Mountain View's way against Uintah when the teams last played back in May of 2025, as Mountain View made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bruins since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
