Football Recap: Belleview Takes a Loss

Belleview extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-6. They were beaten by the Williston Red Devils 42-6. The Rattlers were not able to make up for their loss to the Red Devils from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Gabe Caro threw for 99 yards and one TD. Keondre FIllmore was his top target, picking up 89 receiving yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Nicholas Mills rushed for 30 yards.

As for Williston, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.6 points on average over those games.

Williston's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kameryn Manneh, who rushed for 138 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries. Manneh's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 133 rushing yards. Another back making a difference was J'Dyen Manneh, who rushed for 91 yards and one touchdown.

Coming up, Belleview will head out on the road to take on Matanzas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Rattlers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Williston, they will be playing at home against Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Manneh and Nikko Dozier.
