Basketball Recap: Liberty Union Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Liberty Union lost against Amanda-Clearcreek back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Liberty Union Lions took a 50-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Amanda-Clearcreek Aces. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 280th, while the Aces are ranked 104th).

Liberty Union's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-9. As for Amanda-Clearcreek, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Liberty Union has already played their next contest (against Westfall), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Amanda-Clearcreek will face off against Adena at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Adena has won four straight at home, while Amanda-Clearcreek won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
