The Community Vikings/Viqueens are taking a road trip to challenge the Blackman Blaze at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Community is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
Community gave up the first runs last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against Zion Christian Academy as Community made off with an 11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Vikings/Viqueens, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Gracie Daniel was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mattie Maxey, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Daniel wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Community kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, everything went Blackman's way against Central Magnet on Monday as Blackman made off with a 15-3 victory. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for the Blaze this season.
Lilliana Acosta looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. What's more, she gave up only two walks, the fewest she's had since back in March of 2024.
At the plate, Blackman let Khloe Kolb and Alyssa Barber run wild. Kolb went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles, while Barber scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Kolb also snagged a stolen base, marking her first of the season. Emma Furness was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
Blackman is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. Community's record is now 10-1-1.
Blackman's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Community has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9 hits per game. It's a different story for Blackman, though, as they've been averaging 8.8 hits. Given Community's sizable advantage in that area, Blackman will need to find a way to close that gap.
Community might still be hurting after the 9-2 defeat they got from Blackman in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Community avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
