Volleyball Recap: Tri-Township Tigers vs. Boone Grove Wolves
Tri-Township was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Boone Grove Wolves, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on April 7th.
Tri-Township took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-13, 25-14.
Boone Grove's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Max Pollnow led the charge by getting 21 assists and five aces. That's the most aces Pollnow has posted since April 7th. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryder McCoy, who had 17 digs.
Tri-Township's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Boone Grove, their victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-3.
Tri-Township does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Boone Grove, they will face off against South Central at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Satellites will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight.
