Basketball Recap: David Anderson Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

David Anderson put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down the Leetonia Bears 47-30. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Blue Devils also won the last time the pair played back in February.

David Anderson was led to victory by Lylah Brown and Bridgett Newbold. Brown posted 15 points in addition to eight boards and eight steals, while Newbold put up ten points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Brown's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Maddi Klein also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

David Anderson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive games.

David Anderson's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Leetonia, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

David Anderson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-44 defeat against Lake Center Christian on the 6th. As for Leetonia, they will square off against Valley Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
