Basketball Recap: Marshall's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

Marshall lost against Lake Mills back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Marshall Cardinals took an 83-77 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Mills L-Cats. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the L-Cats are ranked 11th).

Marshall moved to 4-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Lake Mills, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Marshall will be home for the holidays to greet Deerfield at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lake Mills, they will head out to square off against New Berlin Eisenhower on December 28th. Lake Mills knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully New Berlin Eisenhower likes a good challenge.
