Volleyball Game Preview: Heide Trask Titans vs. Clinton Dark Horses + How To Watch

The Heide Trask Titans will venture away from home to square off against the Clinton Dark Horses at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clinton took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Heide Trask, who comes in off a win.

Heide Trask took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Southwest Onslow. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Stallions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Heide Trask had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-12, 25-12, 25-18.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Clinton and East Duplin had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Dark Horses came up short against the Panthers on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Dark Horses haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

While Clinton was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-15, 25-22.

Heide Trask's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Clinton, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.

Heide Trask was able to grind out a solid victory over Clinton in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
