Football Recap: Patuxent Panthers vs. La Plata Warriors
Patuxent had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the La Plata Warriors 42-0 on the road. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland football rankings (they are ranked 24th, while the Warriors are ranked 183rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Evan Blouir was a one-man wrecking crew for Patuxent as he rushed for 135 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also threw for 194 yards and four touchdowns on only 16 passes. Blouir also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, defending a pass and snagging an interception. Keiden Gutierrez was Blouir's top target, picking up 111 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
