Basketball Recap: Cordova Comes Up Short

Cordova lost against Valdez back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The match between the Cordova Wolverines and the Valdez Buccaneers didn't end well, with the Cordova Wolverines falling 52-38. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cordova's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Valdez, they pushed their record up to 8-8 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Cordova will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Effie Kokrine Charter on February 27th. Valdez has already played their next contest (against Lathrop), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
