After a string of nine wins, Wewahitchka's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 7-2 to the Sneads Pirates. The Gators were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the nine games prior), but the Pirates' pitchers proved too tough.

Wewahitchka saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jakwavian Gray, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Wewahitchka's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Sneads, their record is now 8-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wewahitchka will host Gadsden County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sneads, they will be playing at home against Malone at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
