Softball Recap: Saturday's Win Is St. Charles North's 12th in Last 14 Outings

St. Charles North and Edwardsville pushed the score to 16-4 the last time they played Edwardsville, but on Saturday defenses reigned supreme. The North Stars had just enough and edged out the Tigers 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the North Stars have posted since April 25th.

Lauren Seyller tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched.

At the plate, Jordyn McBride was excellent, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Julianna Kouba was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

St. Charles North has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games.
