Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Santa Ana). They breezed past the Whittier Christian Heralds to the tune of 49-20 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Saints.

Whittier Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Caden Hogan and Josepablo Gutierrez. Hogan threw for 149 yards and three TDs on only eight passes, while Gutierrez picked up 101 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Gutierrez's longest reception was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total.

The victory got Santa Ana back to even at 2-2. As for Whittier Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Santa Ana will square off against Santa Ana Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Whittier Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Riverside Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Heralds will be up against the Silver Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
