Basketball Recap: Thompson Valley Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Thompson Valley won the last time they faced Evergreen, and Mekayla Macias did her part to make sure it happened again. The Thompson Valley Eagles blew past the Evergreen Cougars 43-21 on Friday thanks in part to Macias, who went 8 of 11 on her way to 21 points. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Avery Gibbs was another key player, putting up three points along with 12 boards and three steals. She is becoming a predictor of Thompson Valley's success: when she posts at least ten boards the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when she doesn't).

Thompson Valley is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Evergreen, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
