Volleyball Recap: Seven Straight Home Wins for Las Vegas

While Las Vegas's victory against Legacy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Longhorns 3-2 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted against the Longhorns since October 30, 2021.

Las Vegas was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 25-15, 20-25, 25-19, 15-9.

Aaliyah Jones paced Las Vegas' offense, picking up 19 kills. Jones got some help from Millie Mangum and her 31 assists. Constanze Mangano and Veanka Escobedo kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Las Vegas' victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-9. As for Legacy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-16.
