Soccer Recap: Gunnison Find Success + How To Watch

Gunnison barely beat Canon City the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cowboys never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Friday. That's more bragging rights for Gunnison, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cesar Marmolejo and Eli Coop scored all three of Gunnison's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

The win got Gunnison back to even at 1-1. As for Canon City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gunnison will challenge Grand Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Canon City, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on The Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on September 9.
