Volleyball Recap: Whiteville Takes a Loss

Whiteville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the North Brunswick Scorpions, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Scorpions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16, 25-9.

Among those leading the charge was Kayley Whiteside, who had ten digs and five aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in August.

Whiteville's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for North Brunswick, their record is now 6-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whiteville will take on Fairmont at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Brunswick, they will head out to face off against Laney at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
