Munster never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Chesterton on Monday. They blew past the Trojans 13-0. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.
Ally Compton made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cece Mason, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Caroline Wendlinger was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Munster always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .519. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chesterton only posted an OBP of .118.
