Soccer Recap: Fort Meade Comes Up Short

Fort Meade and Lakeland Christian squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Fort Meade had to settle for second. They lost 8-0 to the Lakeland Christian Vikings. Having soared to a lofty seven goals in the game before, the Miners' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Fort Meade's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Lakeland Christian, their win bumped their record up to 11-6-3.

Fort Meade does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lakeland Christian, they will face off against Santa Fe Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Santa Fe Catholic will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Lakeland Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
