Basketball Recap: Stuart Makes It Seven in a Row at Home

Stuart won the last time they faced Boyd County and things went their way on Thursday too. The Stuart Broncos walked away with a 64-51 win over the Boyd County Spartans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Broncos.

Stuart got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kayde Ramm out in front who went 7 of 12 on his way to 18 points. Ramm is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Hunter Tubbs was another key player, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 15 boards.

Stuart smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Boyd County only pulled down seven offensive boards.

Despite the loss, Boyd County still got an impressive performance from Charlie Adams, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Haun, who posted eight points.

Stuart's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Boyd County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.

Stuart and Boyd County should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings. Stuart (ranked 77th) will meet Neligh-Oakdale (ranked 269th) at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Boyd County (ranked 113th) will meet Ainsworth (ranked 252nd) at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
