Basketball Game Preview: Zion-Benton Zee-Bees vs. Mundelein Mustangs

Zion-Benton hasn't had much luck against Mundelein recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Zion-Benton Zee-Bees will take on the Mundelein Mustangs in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m.

Zion-Benton is headed into Saturday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Saturday. They were beaten by Lake Forest 64-37. While losing is never fun, the Zee-Bees can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 358th, while the Scouts are ranked 59th).

Meanwhile, Mundelein earned a 63-54 victory over Wauconda on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Mundelein now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Zion-Benton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Zion-Benton came up short against Mundelein when the teams last played back in January, falling 62-54. Can Zion-Benton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
