Redmond posted their closest victory since November 5, 2024 on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Juanita Ravens. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

Redmond had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 17-25, 25-23, 25-15, 18-16.

Redmond is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Juanita, they moved to 6-2 with that loss, which also ended their five-match winning streak.

Redmond and Juanita should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. The Mustangs will challenge Cedarcrest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (76 vs. 294). Meanwhile, Juanita (ranked 67th) will meet Lincoln (ranked 270th) at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
