Baseball Game Preview: Chavez Eagles vs. Monroe Vikings

Chavez hasn't had much luck against Monroe recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Vikings at 2:30 p.m. Chavez's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Monroe's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Chavez's tournament run continued when they took on Hamilton on Monday. The Eagles fell 6-1 to the Yankees.

Chavez saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joey Uribe, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Uribe is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Meanwhile, Monroe didn't have quite enough to beat Bravo last Saturday and fell 6-5. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chavez's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Monroe, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 11-7.
