Preview: Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers vs. Towers Titans
The Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers will head out on the road to face off against the Towers Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Eagle's Landing Christian Academy beat the Cavaliers 65-53. Given Eagle's Landing Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Cavaliers are ranked 258th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jayden Blain was a one-man wrecking crew for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy as he scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Blain continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Kam Warford was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six assists.
Even though Towers has not done well against the War Eagles recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Towers managed a 77-72 win over the War Eagles. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Eagle's Landing Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. As for Towers, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.
Everything went Eagle's Landing Christian Academy's way against the Titans in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as the Chargers made off with a 76-56 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
