Soccer Game Preview: Hilmar vs. Linden

The Hilmar Yellowjackets will face off against the Linden Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hilmar's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Hilmar is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They skirted past Destiny Christian Academy 1-0.

Meanwhile, Linden came tearing into Saturday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Bruins 6-3. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won six contests by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Riverbank with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mario Rodriguez (3), Antonio Garcia (2), and Noe Diaz.

Linden now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Hilmar, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.

Hilmar came up short against Linden in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, falling 3-1. Can Hilmar avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
