Basketball Game Preview: Green Hope Falcons vs. Western Harnett Eagles

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Green Hope Falcons take on the Western Harnett Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday... Green Hope is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.7 points per game this season.

Green Hope is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They took a 55-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Apex Friendship.

Green Hope's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Bella Cook, who went 7 of 8 on her way to 14 points and six rebounds, and Shawn Sisk, who posted 11 points. Cook continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Brown, who put up nine points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Western Harnett hadn't done well against Lee County recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way last Friday. Western Harnett walked away with a 41-29 victory over Lee County. That looming 41-29 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

Green Hope's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Western Harnett, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
