Volleyball Recap: Franklin Beats Mansfield for Their Seventh Straight Victory

Franklin waltzed into their match on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mansfield Hornets. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

While Franklin won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-12, 25-15.

Makayla Kuykendall paced Franklin's offense, picking up 16 kills. Kuykendall got some help from Phoebe O'Connor and her 16 assists. Finally, Olivia Alberti kept Franklin's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Mansfield, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin will welcome Barnstable at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mansfield, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Oliver Ames at 5:15 p.m.
