Basketball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 60-55 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mt. Hebron Vikings. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly five points.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Mt. Hebron, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Centennial won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Marriotts Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mt. Hebron, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Hammond at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
